The New Patriotic Party (NPP’s) General Secretary, Mr. Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie popularly known as Sir John, on October 12, 2013 attended a massive rally organised by the NPP Amsterdam, in The Hague, to launch a political foundation.
Friends of Sir John Foundation (FOSJ) launch was attended by about 200 members and sympathisers of the NPP.
Sir John was on a thank you tour to inform members and sympathisers in The Netherlands about the state of affairs of the party in Ghana after the Supreme Court judgement and the ongoing preparation of the party to elect new executives.
During the meeting, the FOSJ was inaugurated with a slogan “Do Not Change a Winning Team”.
The foundation is expected to launch its website soon with the vision:
1. To lobby for funds to support the election campaign of Sir John as NPP’s National Organiser
2. To campaign for the election of Sir John as Secretary General of NPP
3. To promote democracy in Ghana.
