SIM Box Fraud: Ex-GREDA boss to reappear in court today

The former President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Dr. Alexander Tweneboah will reappear in court later today, over a SIM Box fraud case for which he was arrested.

Dr. Tweneboah, together with nine others were denied bail at the last hearing.

The suspects, including two foreign nationals, were nabbed by a joint Anti-Telecommunication Fraud Taskforce in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service.

Items retrieved from the suspects included thousands of different SIM cards, SIM box equipment, heavy duty batteries, SIM servers, 4G modems, printers, laptops and assorted scratched cards.

Lead Counsel for the ex-GREDA boss, Fiifi Abban is expected to, once again, make a strong case for his client to be granted bail.

He argued during the last hearing that his client had been on remand for more than 15 days, and since the alleged offence was bailable, the court should have decided otherwise.
