The Chambers family has vowed to bring a legal suit against Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Allie Bangura for allegedly leading a team of OSD personnel who demolished structures and carted away building materials at Angola Town, Adonkia.
The building materials include two tons of iron rod, bailing machine, 45 leaves of ply wood, 100 corner ridge and 15 roll of electric cables plus other electrical fittings valued over Le150 million.
Pastor David Chambers says the land is a 31-acre deed of gift from Solomon Chambers since December 1979 to Felicia Chambers and himself.
“We want to use the land to construct houses for the poor,” he said and added that the Ministry of Lands appealed that they give some of the land to them.
He complained that the Ministry in turn gave Bangura the land.
He said they were erecting structures on the land past Friday when Bangura and a team of OSD personnel stormed the site with officials from the Lands Ministry claiming that the land belongs to him and he wants to build a factory on it.
Regional Police Commissioner Western Area, Santigie Koroma said Bangura requested police assistance to accompany him to a proposed site he intend building a factory that would employ some 600 youths.
Commissioner Koroma says Bangura did not report to him again and he is unaware that police carted away building materials from the said site.
He said if the land in question belongs to the Chambers family they should know what to do.
Bangura had since traveled back to Ghana and efforts to contact him proved futile.
