SHS placement suspended

The placement of students into Senior High Schools for this year will be delayed due to the death of President Mills.

The Director of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System secretariat Samuel Oppong in an interview with XYZ News said the placement exercise will be suspended until the late president is buried.

Last week, WAEC released results of students who took part in the recently written BECE which is to enable officials start the placement process.

But Mr Oppong says the various government institutions that will be assisting with the placement exercise are busy planning towards the funeral of the late President.

“Because of the President’s funeral and a whole lot activities people will not pay attention to the placement system” Mr. Oppong said.**
