Show love to neighbours to win them 2016 – Sammy Awuku

Mr Sammy Awuku, National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on members and sympathizers of the party to show love to their neighbours.

He said socializing with the people during funerals, parties, outdooring and other engagements would help win floating voters for the party in the coming 2016 election.

Mr Awuku made the call when he addressed La Dade-Kotopon Constituency polling station executives and coordinators at a meeting at the Nyaniba Estate in Accra, to re-awaken members to strategize for the way forward in campaigning towards the 2016 election.

He said socializing with community members has the potency of helping to win over the undecided voters as well as “convince our brothers and sisters who belong to other political divides to join us.

“It should always be at the back of our minds that winning our next door neighbour should be our primary concern.”

Mr Awuku reminded party members that the battle ahead was an enormous one and charged the polling station executives and the coordinators to devise strategies immediately to kick-start their campaigns.

Mr Awuku noted that it was sad that some polling station executives did not even know their constituency executive members, which was not helping for effective planning and execution of programmes.

He therefore charged them to remedy the situation and be proactive to issues that could affect the party.

He, however, commended Mr Samuel Adjei, NPP Co-ordinator for Nyaniba Estate for organizing the meeting.

The constituency executives present were Mr Kotey Nikoi, First Vice Chairman and Mr Emmanuel “Kobila” Tetteh, Organiser, while the occasion was graced by Mr Oscar Odoi Glover, 2012 Parliamentary Candidate, Mr Vincent Odotei alias “Obama” and Mr Vincent Addotey Addo, all members of the party.
