Shiloh Family Chapel to sink boreholes for deprived communities

Shiloh Family Chapel is to sink boreholes for some selected communities to help solve the perennial water shortages facing them.

The project which would begin in the Greater-Accra Region, would be extended to the other regions in the near future.

The Reverend Prophetess Martha Mensah, General Overseer, disclosed this at the opening of a one-week conference of the church at Adenta in Accra.

The conference which is on the theme: ‘God Speak,’ is aimed at praying for the physical and spiritual well-being of the participants, and also for economic stability and peace ahead of election 2016.

Rev. Prophetess Mensah said the first phase of the project which would cover the Greater-Accra Region is expected to be completed by the year 2020.

She said the church would also put up a school and a hospital to cater for the educational and the health needs of the people in the communities.

The General Overseer said the provision of the boreholes and the school and hospital formed part of the social responsibility of the church.

Rev. Prophetess Mensah said the church was also working out a scholarship scheme where the needy in the society would be awarded scholarships to pursue education of higher learning.

She urged the youth to be creative and also enter into agriculture ventures which she said was lucrative.
