Shia Clinic receives Medical Equipments from ASCANA

Members of the Association of Shia Citizens and Affiliates of North America (ASCANA) donated assorted medical equipment to the Shia Clinic near Ho. The items were donated to the Chiefs and Elders of Shia in the presence of the District Director of Health Dr. Atsu Seake Kwao, the Municipal Director Hon Isaac Kodobisa and the clinic staff.

The items estimated at $3,500 include, BP Apparatus, Stethoscopes, HB manometer, HB tally cards, mercury thermometer, ambubags, fetoscope, Timer Tourniquets, Microscopes, Slide covers, glucometer, Desktop computer with flat screen monitor, printers and toners, fridge and fridge guards, standing fan just to mention but few.

The Director of Nkwanta St Joseph Catholic Hospital, Sr. Rose Sumah who presented the items on behalf of the association said the equipment was acquired through the efforts of members and some friends of the association. She encouraged all Shia citizens home and abroad to support the Clinic to provide the people with medical equipments and medicines.

Receiving the items, the District director of Health Dr. Atsu Seake Kwao, the Municipal Director, Hon Isaac Kodobisa and the clinic staff thanked the association for the gesture. The dignitaries were very impressed and as a result have made a number of promises to the aid of the clinic.
