Shama NPP executives demonstrate against President’s DCE nominee

Some NPP Executives and concerned members in the Shama constituency of the Western Region have demonstrated against the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s nominee Joseph Amoah as the District Chief Executive, DCE for Shama.

According to them, Mr. Amoah who is the current constituency chairman of the party was a DCE during the Ex-President John Agyekum Kuffour’s administration and he is not trustworthy and has created division between the constituency executives and the communities in Shama district.

The leader of the group, Isaiah Mensah who narrated the concerns of the group in an interview with Twin City Radio News at Shama said the group‘s decision to reject the Presidents nominee was because they fought with their sweat, blood and resources for the party during the 2016 general elections and will not allow an individual to destroy the image of the party.

The constituency vice chairman also said the current DCE and the MP are from the same town, “this is unfair and we need a balance of the DCE and MP so president Nana Addo must kindly change his DCE”
