Mr Opoku asked drivers to respect passengers and stop using indecent language on them and asked them to pay their income tax promptly to generate more income for the government.

He announced that the Union had opened local branches at Koforidua and Ehiamankyene and was making efforts to open more of them within its catchment’s areas.

The branch secretary, Mr Opoku Amponsah asked the drivers to pay monthly dues and loading fees promptly to generate enough income for the union.

He asked them also to maintain their vehicles regularly to avoid road accidents.

The members unanimously passed a vote of no confidence in the working committee of the union and elected new committee members to replace them.
