Shaaba Enterprise donate towards Farmers’ Day celebration

Mpraeso (E/R), Oct. 30, GNA – Shaaba Enterprise Company has presented five bicycles worth 10 million cedis to the Kwahu South District Office of the Minister of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) for distribution to farmers who would win awards for this years’ 20th District Farmers Day celebration.

Presenting the bicycles at a ceremony at Mpraeso on Thursday, the Managing Director of the company, Mr Seth Adjei-Baah, said the gesture was aimed at honouring hard working farmers in the district. He said the company was installing a fruit processing plant to solve the marketing problem citrus farmers in the area were facing,. Receiving the bicycles, the District Director of Agriculture, Mr John Nketia Gyenfie, commended the company for the assistance, which said, would go a long way to motivate farmers to increase production. He urged other citizens and organizations to contribute towards the celebration of the Day since the government alone could not afford the full cost involved.
