Sexual harassment was one of the problems women in NGOs face.

Opinions on the effects of gender on professional progress were divided. Apart from a few respondents who thought they had not made much progress because they are women, the majority did not think that gender had affected their progress. The study identified the need to train both men and women to enable men appreciate that women should be treated as equals. It also advocates that women’s economic strength, legal position and control over their own bodies be increased.
