Several Legon students put on probation

LEGON, OCT. 7, GNA- Following the withdrawal of the 147 students from the University of Ghana Legon last week for poor academic performance during the 2002/2003 academic year, the authorities of the University have again released the names of 25 Level 300 Bachelor of Science students who have been put on probation. This meant that students on probation would be required to repeat all failed courses at Level 300 and where possible make up the workload with the appropriate courses at the higher level.

A statement signed by the Deputy Registrar in-charge of Academic Affairs, Mr. T. Tabi said, the affected students would have to forfeit their accommodation if they are resident students.

It also asked them to report to the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Science latest on Tuesday, in order to make the necessary arrangements for registration of their failed courses.
