Seven basic schools in Amansie-Central receive laptops

Government has presented 168 computer laptops and trolleys to some Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Amansie Central District.

Suhyenso, Fiankoma, Hia, Huu/Akwansram, Jacobu, Numereso and Akrofrom JHSs received 24 laptops and a trolley each.

Mr. Robert Bennett Forkuoh, the District Chief Executive presented the equipment to the schools at Amansie.

He appealed to the students to use the computers to improve their studies in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and gave the assurance that other schools would also get computers soon.

Mr. Louis K. Wadja, District Director of Education, praised government for the gesture and said the computers had come when students needed them to prepare for their Basic Education Certificate Examination ICT practical.

He appealed to School Management Committees and Parents- Teachers Associations to provide generators for use by schools without electricity.

Nana Konadu Yiadom, Queen mother of Jacobu, appealed to government to supply the rest of the schools in the area with computers, as promised.
