September 30 declared holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr

Accra, Sept. 24, GNA – The Ministry of the Interior has declared Tuesday, September 30 as a statutory public holiday to enable Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr. The festival climaxes the month-long fasting (Holy Ramadan). A press statement in Accra on Wednesday signed by Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor, the sector Minister, reminded the general public to observe the day as such throughout the country.
