September 1 declared statutory public holiday

The Ministry of Interior has declared Friday September 1, 2017 as a statutory public holiday.

A statement signed by the Minister, Ambrose P Dery said it is for the commemoration of this year’s Eidul-Adha and appealed to the general public to observe the day as such.

DECLARATION OF FRIDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2017 AS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The General Public is hereby reminded that Friday, 1st September, 2017, which marks EIDUL-ADHA, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
