Senior secondary school for Yefri

Yefri (B/A), Aug. 22, GNA – The chiefs and people of Yefri, near Nkoranza in Brong Ahafo are putting up structures for the opening of a senior secondary school in the area.

Nana Okogyeasuo Osei-Bonsu 11, chief of the area, is providing funds for the construction of a three-classroom block, an office, a library and a computer room.

The people are also offering communal labour.

Nana Osei-Bonsu told Mr Kwabena Agyeman-Badu, the Nkoranza District Director of Education that, there is adequate accommodation for the teaching staff as well as a hostel for the students. Nana Osei-Bonsu announced that the MP for the area, Mr Hayford Francis Amoako has promised to provide 100 bags of cement towards the project. Mr Agyeman-Badu commended Nana Osei-Bonsu and the people for their foresight and promised to provide assistance towards the opening of the school.

He announced that the school would initially run two programmes, General Arts and Business.
