Senior officer says Police Service is not business entity

Hohoe, Sept 11, GNA – Assistant Commissioner of Police David Ampah-Bennin, the Volta Regional Police Commander, has reminded personnel that the service was not a business entity to want to get rich overnight.

“Get-rich-quick attitudes have no place in policing and service personnel with this mentality should honourably hand over their uniforms,” he said. Mr Ampah-Bennin said this when he interacted with personnel at Kpando, Hohoe and Jasikan districts as part of a two-day tour some units under his command.

He said President John Atta Mills’s call for armed robbery to be curbed was a challenge and personnel should rise up to. “When you serve with your heart, your spirit will promote you to greater heights,” he said.
