Senior High Schools in E/R receive books on democracy

New Abirem (E/R), April 27, GNA – The Ntiamoah Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO) has presented a copy of ‘Watching Democracy in Ghana’, written by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) to 12 schools in the Eastern Region.

Presenting the books to the schools, Mr Godwin Atidigah, Educational Co-ordinator, said since the nation’s development hinged on its human resource base, Ntiamoah Foundation felt it as a duty to contribute to the knowledge of students in the country. Mr Atidigah held that students would ultimately grow up to become future leaders of the nation and that it was important for them to be knowledgeable and abreast with current democratic practices in Ghana. He appealed to management of the schools to ensure that the books were put at their respective libraries for everybody to read. 27 April 09
