Senior citizens of Dawu commend Dan Botwe

An association of senior citizens at Dawu in the Okere Constituency has commended Mr Dan Kwaku Botwe, the Member of Parliament for Okere, for his dedication and support to the aged.

Called the “The Old Age Association of Dawu”, the members described him as “a pillar of support” to all their activities geared towards their wellbeing.

They said since he became the MP, he had continuously supported initiatives to enhance their happiness and longevity.

Mr Botwe, who was commended at a meeting of the Association, at Dawu, has, therefore, been made the Chief patron of the Association.

The Association was formed as a wing of HelpAge Ghana in all the towns of Akuapem.

Master Dako, of blessed memory, who was the father of Mr Dan Botwe, was the local organiser and patron, a position he held till his death at 94.

Following his death, the Member of Parliament, through the Master Dako Memorial Foundation instituted in his memory, committed to the re-organisation and strengthening of the Association to provide basic support for members in need.

Mr Dan Botwe pledged his continuous support to the Association to ensure that the senior citizens in the Constituency were not neglected or rendered paupers.

He commended the members for being loyal in the payment of their dues.
