Sene District Assembly Donates to Muslim Community

Kwame Danso (B/A), Oct. 12, GNA – The Sene District Assembly has donated bags of rice, 60 mats, sugar and Milo to the Muslim community in the district to celebrate their Id-Ul-Fitr. Madam Cynthia Titriku Danso, the District Chief Executive, said the donation was the assembly’s widow’s mite to assist the Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.

She urged them to live peacefully with other religious groups and avoid any act that could tarnish the image of Islam. Madam Danso said she was not happy that some Muslims would not allow their children, especially the girls, to attend secular schools but restrict them to Islamic schools. She said after completing Islamic schools they found it difficult to qualify for tertiary institutions.
