Sena Dansua “shocked” at North Dayi defeat

The Member of Parliament for North Dayi Constituency, Akua Sena Dansua, has described her defeat in the ongoing NDC Primaries as a shock.

The former Sports Minister lost the seat she has been occupying since 2001 to Mr. George Loh.

The North Dayi Constituency is one of the 53 areas where the primaries were postponed.

The 53 constituencies include the newly created 45 constituencies awaiting legal backing from Parliament.

Akua Sena Dansua, who is also the Tourism Minister in an interview with XYZ News, stated that she had all the assurance from the electorates and is therefore surprised at her lost.

“For me, it is a surprise defeat but I will take everything in good stride because I know that the good Lord will open another door for”.

She has however, promised to support Lawyer George Loh to ensure that the NDC retains the seat in the December elections.

Meanwhile, the winner of the North Dayi NDC Primaries, Geroge Loh , told XYZ News that the underground works he undertook in the constituency earned him the victory.

He polled 99 votes to beat incumbent Akua Sena Dansua who secured 88 votes.
