Sempe stool denies botched media reports on chief

The Sempe stool has denied vehemently allegations of wrongful acquisition of lands and terror unleashed on indigenes, describing it as a calculated move to tarnish the image of the Sempe Mantse, Nii Adote Otintor II and the Sempe stool by some disgruntled individuals.

In a statement released by the Sempe Stool, it claimed Nii Otintor has always recognized the need for peaceful coexistence and will not engage in acts that violate the laws of the land. The statement said the Sempe Mantse has never bought a land illegally, nor has he been invited by the police for questioning linked to acts of criminality.

“If Nii Sempe really had a hand in all these, why has he not been questioned by the police?”

A few weeks ago, The Moment and Adansie Newspapers and some websites published ‘falsehood’ about the character and Authority of the Chief, alleging his involvement in acts of violence and illegality.

According to the statement, since Nii Otintor ascended the Sempe stool, he has embarked on several initiatives to promote development in the whole of Sempe and has preached unity.

The statement inferred that, Nii Otintor II was rather a victim, whose property was illegally destroyed by one Adjei Brown when about 80% work on his hotel and beach resort was pulled down without any litigation.

Nii Adote Otintor II, according to the statement, is the kind of Chief GaDangme needs, a development oriented and dynamic, but his detractors have put his reputation on the line; warning that, the stool and people of Sempe would not sit unconcerned and allow those opportunistic people whose interest is always to destroy others to destroy the chief.
