Sekyere West gives out 400 million cedis to Women Groups

The Sekyere West District Assembly, under its poverty reduction programme, has distributed 400 million cedis to 80 women groups in the District.

The amount is to support the women in various economic ventures. The beneficiaries are from Mampong, Aframso, Kyeise, Kyekyebon, Birem, Nsuta and Krobo, received 500,000 cedis each and are expected to pay back in 12 months with a reasonable interest.

Mr Samuel O. Kusi Appiah, the District Co-ordinating Director, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), appealed to the beneficiaries to pay back the money promptly to enable others to benefit.
