Sekyere Rural Bank supports Library project

Jamasi (Ash), Dec 1, GNA- The Sekyere Rural Bank at Jamasi in the Afigya-Sekyere District has presented 50 bags of cement to the people of Ntribuoho in the Kwabre District to support a library project being undertaken by the people at a cost of 150 million cedis.

It is one of the self-help initiated projects being executed by the people to improve the standard of education in the area.

Other projects include the construction of a one-storey classroom block, offices and toilet facilities for the local primary school.

Presenting the cement, Mr Obese Lamptey, Supervising Manager of the Bank, said the bank appreciated the self-help spirit of the people.

Mr Kwame Dapaah-Siakwan, Board Chairman of the bank, stressed the need for people to cultivate the habit of saving to improve and expand their businesses.

Mr Sampson Adu-Poku, Assemblymember for Ntribuoho Electoral Area who received the cement on behalf of the community, thanked the bank for the assistance.

He appealed to other financial institutions and non-governmental organisations to come to the aid of the people to complete the project on time.
