Sekyere East District Assembly approves President’s Nominee

Effiduase (Ash), April 23, GNA- The Sekyere East District Assembly, on Monday approved Mr Samuel Konadu, 56, President John Agyekum Kufuor’s nominee as the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Assembly, at Effiduase.

All the 31 assembly members voted in favour of Mr Konadu in an election supervised by the Electoral Commission.

Mr Osei Assibey Antwi, Ashanti Regional Deputy Minister, commended the assembly members for endorsing Mr Konadu as DCE. Mr Antwi urged the assembly members to collaborate with the new DCE towards the development of the district.

Mr Konadu, who until his appointment was the General Manager of S-Class Service Limited, a private firm in Accra, thanked the assembly members for approving his nomination as the DCE.

The new DCE promised to cooperate with the assembly members to ensure the development of the district.
