Security to beef-up in the Volta Region

Ho, Dec. 14, GNA – Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) David Ampah-Benin, Volta Regional Police Commander, said the security agencies had worked out well coordinated operational strategies to make the region unsafe for criminals.

He said this at a meeting with newsmen on how secure the region would be during the Christmas celebrations.

Mr Ampah-Benin said there would be police patrols on highways while plain clothe men and women would be deployed to carefully identified areas based on intelligence.

He said additional police personnel would be in place in the region as part of the security preparedness. Mr Ampah-Benin said the Police would be relying on the security consciousness of the people to be able to deter and deal with any criminal tendencies during the festive period.
