Security services not recruiting – Dery

The Ministry of the Interior has warned the public to be wary of reports making rounds that security agencies under its umbrella are conducting recruitment exercises.

According to the ministry, the Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Immigration Service, and Prisons Service are not recruiting persons to fill any position.

The ministry said these agencies would not undertake a recruitment exercise without advertising it in the dailies.

“The general public is, hereby, advised to be wary of any persons or group of persons claiming to recruit into the security services. Any such person or group of persons purporting to recruit into the security agencies should be reported to the nearest police station,” the ministry said in a statement.
