Security services not recruiting at the moment – Interior Ministry

The Ministry of Interior says none of its agencies is recruiting personnel as widely reported.

According to the Ministry, any recruitment exercise will be duly advertised in the dailies before commencement.

In a statement signed by Deputy Minister of Interior Henry Quartey on Monday, May 15, the four security agencies viz the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ghana Immigration Service and the Ghana Prisons Service are not “recruiting personnel to fill various positions”.

“The general public is, hereby, advised to be wary of any persons or groups of persons claiming to recruit into the security services”.

The police have been put on high alert over persons claiming to recruit while the public has been asked to report such persons to the police.
