Security Committee approves hotel to operate swimming pool

The Nkoranza Municipal Security Committee has given approval to Nkoranza-based hotel to re-operate its swimming pool.

The Council closed-down the swimming pool at Nagyima Hotel after two people drowned in the pool in April in two separate incidents.

Mr. Charles Johnny Adorkor, Manager of the Hotel told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the hotel had employed a professional pool attendant.

He assured the general public of enhanced security arrangements put in place at the hotel to avoid future mishaps.

The Nkoranza Municipal Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Joseph Owusu told the GNA that a committee which was set up after the incidents recommended that the swimming pool ought to be fenced.
