Security agencies in UWR commended for ensuring peace

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Kofi Danso Adei-Akyeampong, Upper West Regional (UWR) Police Commander, has commended security agencies in the region for ensuring peace during the December 7 polls and the Yuletide, in the area.

“It is through your effort, efficiency, co-operation and hard work that we had a very peaceful and successful election”, he said.

DCOP Adei-Akyeampong, gave the commendation during a route match of all security agencies on Thursday in Wa, appealed to them to discharge their duties more effectively and efficiently to promote law and order.

He said the purpose of the route match was to awaken the energy in them so that they could be very effective in the performance of their duties.

DCOP Adei-Akyeampong explained that the exercise was to demonstrate to the public the preparedness of the security to provide maximum security for at all times.

“We want to assure the general public that their security and protection of property is our concern, and we shall never play with it”, he emphasised.
