Second Sanitation Day successful in Winneba

The second Edition of the National Sanitation day in the Effutu Municipality was successful following the participation of all the Assembly Members.

A visit to most of the Electoral Areas in Winneba by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) revealed that the Assembly Members led their people in the exercise.

They desilted gutters, cleared weed and swept the streets.

The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Mr Alex Afenyo Markin in an interview with the GNA, commended the people for their active participation in the exercise.

He said the programme is in the right direction and expressed the hope that next time those who did not take part would do so to help bring sanity in the community.

The first edition of the programme took place on November 1 2014.
