Second lady launches Methodist Education Week

Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur has launched the Methodist Education Week in Accra on the theme: “Witnessing to Christ Today- Mobilising our connexional resources for Education Development.”

She noted that discipline over the years has remained at the heart of the church and urged the Methodist Mission to effectively ensure that the teachers they employ imbibe virtuous lifestyles in the students, provide quality teaching and to be role models.

Mrs Amissah-Arthur commended the Church for establishing schools across the country most of which continue to excel academically as well as morally.

She expressed the hope that the Church would continue to bring up young energetic people, full of wisdom to be able to do what is right wherever they find themselves.
