Second lady ends two-day “thank you” tour in Ellembelle and Jomoro

Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur, the Vice President’s wife has expressed her profound gratitude to the people of Jomoro constituency in the Western Region for the honour done her by voting for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

She was addressing the chief and people of Half Assini in the chief’s palace on Thursday as part of her two-day tour of Ellembelle and Jomoro districts to thank the people for voting for the NDC.

Mrs Amissah-Arthur, who is an indigene, appealed to the people to continue to support the government and the NDC.

Nana Ayebie Amihere VI, chief of Half Assini, expressed appreciation for the visit and congratulated the Member of Parliament- elect, Wing Commander Francis Kabenlah Anaman (rtd) for his victory.

He commended Ghanaians for comporting themselves during the elections and appealed to them to maintain the current peaceful atmosphere to facility the development of the country.

The District Chief executive for Jomoro, Mr Sylvester Dadie, also thanked the people of the area for voting for the NDC to re-capture the Jomoro seat from the Convention Peoples Party (CPP).

Similar meetings were held at Elubo and Atuabo in the Ellembelle District.
