Seasonal Message from Ghana’s Ambassador to USA

This is a new year message for 2007,from Dr Kwame Bawuah-Edusei, Ambassador Extraodainary and Plenipotentiary, The Ghana Ambassador to USA presents his positive New Year Message to all Diasporans, especially in USA and wish God’s Blessing on all Ghanaians.

In a theme ‘Ghana Renaissance’ , Ambassador DR. Bawuah-Edusei reinterates that he government under President J. A. Kufuor has unquestionably stabilised the country politically and economically. We have moved from a deficit of over six billion dollars to a surplus of two billion dollars and counting. The country needs to take off from this stable state. It therefore behooves on all Ghanaians, to not only congratulate ourselves, but to work harder and be more discipline.

We need to improve our maintenence culture and customer service. Free education should focus on training our children to be more inovative and assertive. The private sector should be educated and galvanize to effectively compete in the international arena .Whiles the Public Sector should use the impending pay increase, to give their countrymen value for money. We should all strive to inculcate our positive cultural values in our children and prepare to go home in the near future to help.As our country can effectively take off, only when Diasporans join their kit and kin back home to uplift our motherland.

As we cerebrate our 50 years of independence we should be united, think positive and commence our implementation phase in earnest. We have done enough talking.

The Ambassaador and the Ghana Embassy wish all Ghanaians the very best of 2007.
