SDA women’s ministry donates to health centre

Abuakwa (Ash), Aug. 1, GNA – The Abuakwa Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Women’s Ministry at the weekend presented 56 pieces of curtains and two plastic containers valued at about three million cedis to the Abuakwa Government Health Centre.

Mrs Matilda Agyei Baffour, the District Women’s Co-ordinator of the Ministry, who made the presentation after a three-hour clean-up exercise at the centre, said the items were their widow’s mite towards improving health delivery.

She said the church would periodically offer assistance to the centre as a means of helping to sustain its work.

Dr Imoro Azumah, Medical Officer in-charge of the centre, thanked the ministry for the gesture and urged the church to intensify education on the need for the members to register with the National Health Insurance Scheme.
