SDA Women Ministry donates to school

The Women Ministry Department of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church at Suhum in the Eastern Region, has donated items worth GH¢500 to the SDA Schools Complex at Suhum.

These included three baby’s cots, three mattresses, nine bed-sheets and playing toys.

Madam Vida Mensah, of the Ministry, led some of the members and Mrs Docia Asempah, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Chairperson of the Schools, to make the presentation.

Madam Mensah called for the provision of more nursery schools to absorb the increasing number of children.

Receiving the items, Mr Daniel Kwame Afasi, Head-teacher, thanked the donors for the gesture and appealed to other stakeholders in education to support the cluster of schools.

He said the school obtained 1000 per cent in last year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination.

Pastor Kwaku Okyere Baffour, former local manager of the Complex Schools, said funds were being raised through school fees and contributions from PTA to construct a block of classrooms, office, store, library and Information and Communication Technology facility.
