SDA donates to St. Dominic’s Hospital

Akwatia, Jan. 5, GNA – The Women’s Ministry of the Kade District Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) has donated assorted items worth about one million cedis to the St. Dominic’s Hospital at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

The items, which included bed-sheets, loaves of bread and oranges were donated as part of activities marking the annual camp meeting of the church.

Speaking at the presentation, the First District elder of the Church, Dr. J.K. Osei said the donation was part of Christ’s teaching to be “supportive of the poor and needy in the society.”

Dr. Osei said the Church would continue its best to assist the vulnerable in the society. Pastor S.K. Agyare of the Nkawkaw District who prayed for inmates at the children’s ward advised parents to take proper care of their children since according to him most ailments were due to poor personal hygiene.

Receiving the items, Mr Ebenezer Akuffo, a nurse at the Children’s Ward thanked the church for its kind donation and hoped that others would emulate.
