Scramble for Fire Service forms; Lady gets injured

There was chaos at the general post office here in Accra, where thousands of young men and women scrambled over Fire Service recruitment forms.

One lady was badly injured in the process in what was the beginning of a desperate search for employment.

She told Joy News’ Manasseh Azure Awuni, she arrived at dawn to queue for the forms but she was yet to buy it.

Instead, she has suffered multiple cuts from a glass as a result of pushing and shoving by many others, who are also scrambling for the forms.

Awuni reported that the 6,500 forms for the Greater Accra Region is selling like hot cake and no one wants to be left out.

Interestingly, some of the people who had queued for the forms, did so not because of their love and passion to pursue a career in fire fighting, but because there is no job available for them to do.
