Hohoe (V/R), Jan. 12, GNA- The Second Science Technology and Mathematics Education Clinic (STME) for boys and girls in the Hohoe District ended at the weekend at Hohoe.
Forty girls and 20 boys attended the clinic under the theme “STME in Support of Technology Transformation in Ghana”.
Mrs Christine Siayor, Hohoe District Director of Education appealed to the participants to put into practice what they learnt at the clinic. She said the youth today were faced with a lot of challenges so they should be helped to make the right choices, adding that, the youth should be prepared adequately to meet the demands of modern technology, she said.
Mr James Komla Dogbe, Hohoe District Chief Executive (DCE), in a speech read for him, said they should face all subjects with the same determination and that no subject is too difficult if a good foundation was laid.
Mr Dogbe said the country needed people with science knowledge to process local raw materials into finished products for export and also to find cure to HIV/AIDS.
