School reopens for all SHS on Sept. 8 & 13 for JHS – GES

The Ghana Education Service [GES] has announced September 8 as the reopening date for all senior high schools across the country.

All junior high school students are also to report to their various schools for the next academic term on September 13, Public Relations officer of the GES, Rev. Jonathan Betteh told Onua FM.

Although the date of resumption are communicated to students at the time of vacation, there were claims some schools given the reopening date due to miscommunication between school authorities and the GES.

The situation resulted in speculations that schools would re-open on September 30 for the next academic term but the GES has denied such claims.

Rev Betteh has consequently advised parents and all students in the various junior and senior high schools across the country to abide by the dates approved by the GES and the Ministry of Education.
