School proprietress assists health centre

Sunyani (B/A) July 22, GNA – Ms. Grace Bennett, Proprietress of Kiddies Paradise and Solomon Bennett Memorial School in Sunyani on Friday presented a 24-inch colour television, VCD player, bed sheets and other child development materials worth 10.5 million cedis to the child health care centre of the Sunyani Municipal hospital.

She said she would adopt and provide the centre with necessary child development materials to promote the health of the children. Ms Bennett called on nursing mothers to continuously visit health centres to enhance the health of their children and themselves. Dr. David Opare, Municipal Director of Ghana Health Service who received the items on behalf of the centre thanked the donor and gave the assurance that the items would be used for the intended purpose. He announced that the centre did not record any deaths caused by measles last year and advised nursing mothers to use treated mosquito nets to avoid infection and the spread of malaria.
