School heads urged to partner District Assemblies

Akim Oda (E/R), May 7, GNA – The Minister in-charge of the Akim Oda Trinity Presbyterian Church, Reverend Alexander K. Nyantakyi, has called on heads of educational institutions to forge healthy working relationships with district assemblies to facilitate infrastructural and logistic advancement.

He asked them to provide visionary leadership by being innovative to offer solutions to the problems confronting their schools. Rev Nyantakyi, who is also the Director of the Presbyterian Unit

Schools in the Birim Central Municipality, made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Saturday.

He stressed the need for the heads to be more proactive in soliciting funds from the Ghana Education Trust Fund and other sources to undertake projects.

Rev Nyantakyi said though Government interventions such as the Capitation Grant, enrolment in schools especially at the basic level, had been stepped up, there was the need for school heads to be proactive in getting assistance for infrastructural development.
