School heads urged to flush out ‘ghost’ teachers

Nkoranza (B/A) Jan. 26,GNA- Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, Nkoranza District Director of Education, has urged school heads to report teachers who vacate their posts, to enable the Directorate to delete their names from the pay roll.

Addressing a meeting with the heads at Nkoranza, he said the measure would help eliminate ” ghosts” names from the pay roll. Mr Agyemang-Badu, who touched on the UNICEF sponsored school mapping exercise said it was aimed at complementing Government efforts in promoting education and appealed to the heads to attach great importance to the exercise.

He said the Directorate would soon organise a workshop on financial management to expose them to the techniques of managing school resources according to the laid down procedures.
