Satellite campus for GIMPA in Takoradi

The Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) is to open a satellite campus in Takoradi by September, Mr George Kwame Nsiah-Gyan, Deputy Registrar at the GIMPA Business School has said.

He was speaking at an open day of the Institute organized on Saturday, in collaboration with the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (STCCI) at Takoradi.

Mr Nsiah-Gyan said the Institute would start its programmes at the Takoradi Campus with a part-time Bachelor Degree course in Business Administration.

He used the occasion to advise parents and guardians against using every means to get their wards admitted into GIMPA and other Universities when they do not meet the minimum admission requirements.

Mr Nsiah-Gyan said students who do not meet admission requirements stand the chance of being sacked during admission audit and urged parents and guardians whose wards could not meet the minimum admission requirements into the Universities to advise them to better their grades.

He said GIMPA would only admit students who meet the minimum requirements and are prepared to study hard to earn a degree or diploma.
