Samuel Nuamah to be laid to rest today

Samual Nuamah, The Ghanaian Times reporter who lost his life in the tragic Presidential Press Corps accident, will be laid to rest today.

The funeral service for the late Nuamah will be held at the forecourt of the State House where his mortal remains is expected to be laid in state for the public to pay their last respect.

The remains will be subsequently laid to rest at the Osu Cemetary.

President John Dramani Mahama, Speaker of Parliament and some government officials are expected to grace the event.

Nuamah lost his life on Thursday, August 20, 2015, when a mini-bus carrying the Presidential Press Corps burst a tyre and somersaulted several times at Shai Osudoku near Tema in the Greater Accra region.

Several others sustained injuries and were admitted at the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was returning to Accra from the Volta Region where Mahama had attended the annual convention of the EP Church.
