Samia Nkrumah to contest CPP’s 2016 flagbearership

The National Chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Yaaba Nkrumah says she will be contesting the presidency of the country in 2016 despite her younger brother Sekou Nkrumah’s doubt.

She told NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ host, Kwasi Aboagye that – she would love to contest the presidential primaries of the CPP.

The daughter of Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah, stated that she is very optimistic of leading Ghana and accomplish her father’s aim for mother Ghana.

According to her, the Convention People’s Party will continue with preparations to improve its electoral performance in 2016.

Samia Yaba Nkrumah pointed out that the Party has formidable challenges because it is the most besieged and embattled Party in the political history of the country, but assured that they will pull a surprise in 2016 with her as the flagbearer.
