Sales Manager in court for stealing

Joshua Nsiah, a Sales Manager, on Wednesday, appeared before an Accra Circuit Court for stealing.

Joshua allegedly stole bags of cement belonging to his store owner at Adenta in the Greater Accra Region.

The accused pleaded not guilty and was granted a bail of GHc50,000.00, with two sureties, and would reappear on October 24.

Presenting the facts of the case, Police Chief Inspector Jubiok Michaels said the complainant is a business woman and resides at Adenta.

He said on September 11, the complainant took stock of her cement goods and discovered that 1,742 bags of GHACEM Cement valued at GHc2,874,300, and 729 bags of Diamond Cement valued at GHc11,808 were missing.

The prosecution told the court that the complainant then confronted the accused person, but he could not justify the appropriation of the said goods, and sensing danger he went into hiding.

He said on September 17, the complainant reported the case to the police and the accused was arrested.
