Accra, March 6, GNA – Reverend Idongesit Bassey, a banker at the weekend urged Christians to maintain very high moral values and standards i= n the discharge of their Godly duties. “Your life must set high moral standards for people to see and emula= te because you are the light of the world,” he added. Rev Bassey gave the advice when addressing the matriculation and orientation ceremony of pastoral students of the Salem Pastoral and Management College (SPAMIC) in Accra.
The ceremony, which was on the topic: 93Making Your Life Count,” attracted 40 students, comprising 31 males and 9 females. He observed that 93in life it is the little things that the individua= l does that makes the difference”, and asked them to strive for excellence in all their endeavours. Rev Bassey said in the global competitive world, people looked for the best, hence the need for the matriculants to be on the cutting edge of thei= r profession, skills and talents. Rev Israel Eze, Dean of Students of SPAMIC, said the institution strives to train, equip and mobilise the entire labour force who think as global leaders in God’s Ministry. In addition, 93we are raising Ministers for global impact”. The institution offers 24 subjects including 21 Laws of leadership, Faith and Dominion, Spiritual warfare, Pastoral leadership, Marriage and Home I&II, Life in the spirit, Dynamics of the word and Mentors mistakes an= d mastery. Rev Eze, said the courses presents an unparallel opportunity to gain experience from preachers and teachers in the field of Ministry, management and relationships.
“The course also offer deeper insight into the word of God with stro= ng emphasises on the application of God’s word to every area of life’s endeavours,” he added. He asked the students to utilise the opportunity to broaden their horizon, imbibe the tenets of leadership and discipline and to develop an inquiring mind.
