Saint Peter’s Cathedral wins Bible quiz competition

Kumasi, Oct 14, GNA – Saint Peter’s Cathedral at the weekend won the inter-parish Bible quiz competition organised by the Amakom Saint Paul’s Catholic parish to mark the Children’s Week celebration in Kumasi.

They scored 47 points to beat Amakom parish to second place with 41 points and Atonsu took the third position with 32 points. Addressing the children, Evangelist Solomon Mahama Ninkaabs of the Amakom Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, cautioned parents to desist from buying indecent dresses for their children.

Evangelist Mahama said since shabby dressing creates the impression of indiscipline, parents should provide their children with decent dresses and teach them how to dress modestly. Mrs Evelyn Opoku, a counsellor at the Grace Baptist Church, advised the children not to let their peers drag them into social vices like hooliganism, early sex and drugs.

Miss Comfort Kumah, a peer educator and a national serviceman, educated the children on HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).
