Saint Mary’s Guild donates to Mampong Babies Home

Mampong (Ash), Aug 15, GNA – The Saint Mary’s Guild of the Anglican Diocese of Kumasi, on Saturday presented assorted food items and an amount of 500,000 cedis to the Asante-Mampong Babies Home. The food items worth about two million cedis included three mini bags of rice, three cartons of milk, assorted soap and toiletries. Miss Charlotte Asmah, Organiser of the Guild, who presented the items and the cash, said it was part of the Guild’s social responsibility towards the upkeep of orphans. She asked the staff of the Home to place premium on the spiritual and physical development of the babies to enable them grow to become national assets.

Miss Asafu Adjaye, Superintendent in-charge of the Home, expressed appreciation to the Guild for the gesture. She gave the assurance that the items would be used for the upkeep of the babies to encourage others also to emulate the gesture.
